SHIMOGA VANILLA FARM A EXPLORATION

Located in the interior Kranataka near to the Jog falls is our place caled shimoga where we cultivate some part of vanilla plants and where our mother plants nursery is located.. In the Areca supari belt most of the arecanut trees are used as trainers for new vanilla and vanilla and areca have great affinity to each other.

Typical budding phenomenon in some vanilla as you can see it with some leaves and buds as it emerges from leaf axils.

In this view you will see the vanilla vines as they are pruned for cultivation and flowering and can make the lenght of the vine in production

Coiled vanilla with enough mulching at the bottom of the plant and see the vanilla bunches in every other leaf axils.

Banana intercropping that is done when you start a Areca palm line with a 2 year old Areca plant inbetween.
